Your life on Nosy Be

Slowing down. Peace. Ocean at your window. Coffee whose taste lingers for years. This is what your new day can look like.

Your day on the island

From sunrise to sunset

We won't describe it like a guidebook. We'll tell you like a friend already living here.

06:30. You're woken by light, not an alarm. Through the open terrace door drifts the scent of frangipani. A cup of black coffee, fresh mango from your own tree, silence broken only by birds. No rush — because you don't need to.

09:00. Short walk to the local market. The fisherman, whom you know by name, sets aside today's catch for you. The fruit seller adds tomatoes „on the house, you're a neighbour". That's fihavanana — the Malagasy philosophy of connection. You'll understand it quickly.

12:00. Lunch on the terrace. Coconut rice, fish in banana leaf, cold Three Horses beer. After lunch — siesta, because that's how it's done here.

16:00. Swim in the ocean. The water is 28 degrees. Turtles beneath the crystal surface. Fishermen's kids wave from the beach.

18:30. Sunset from the terrace. The sky changes colour by the minute. Wine from South Africa, dinner with neighbours. Conversations in English, French, Malagasy — everything mixes together.

22:00. Quiet night. No sirens, no traffic. Just crickets and the sound of waves. You fall asleep.
